What is important to your business and what values do you live by?
Values are the principle beliefs that guide you and your employees as you conduct business. In your day-to-day words and actions, you communicate your values to your employees. A strong organization will have employees who are committed to the same core values as the entrepreneur. Jesus said, It is not just the law you should live by, but the SPIRIT of the law." Are our companies core values just something written on a piece of paper, rather are they the beliefs that from the top down ALL employees manage their day to day activities by.
What is the spirit that permeates in your business?
Do they focus on the customer first dedicated to creating the most awesome customer experience ever, or are they based on the self-interest of the company?
Remember no one can succeed without loyal fans, so like a rock star does your business have adoring fans?
Think about what motivates you and what values you want reflected in your business. Involve your employees to help define the values that will guide your business. In the future you may decide to set new goals, change your strategy, or adjust your vision, but your core values will not change.
